County Football & Soccer Champions 2009!
Congratulations to Ms Maguire and her superb team as they stormed to a comprehensive victory over Bailieborough in the final of the Division 1 Cumann na mBunscoil Girls Football league. Every member of the team played an essential part in this victory and special recognition was paid to Edith Lynch for her performance as she was awarded the "Player of the Match" trophy.After being crowned county champions, the girls' 5-A-side soccer team won the FAI Ulster title on May 20th last. Congratulations to Ms Galligan, Mrs Brennan and girls-this was an excellent achievement. Congratulations to Master Quealy, Master McCloskey and the boys' soccer team on being runners up in the boys competition, just to be beaten on goal difference.
Also congratulations to Ms Galligan, Master Quealy & the girls' team who went on to win the Ulster final of the 5-aside soccer.
Camogie
Congratulations to our ladies camogie team who reached the finals of the 2010 division 1, Cumann na mBunscol league, only to be beaten by a strong Laragh team.
Ms O'Reilly, Ms Kelly and our school camogie team won the 2009 Division 1 Cumann na mBunscol camogie league. They scored four goals against Drumkilly in the final, two from Joy Denning and one each from Nicole McCormac and Catherine Dolan. Kara O'Rourke & Joy Denning, who were joint captains, accepted the cup on behalf of the team. Catherine Dolan also received the 'Player of the Match'award. Comhghairdeas a chailíní!
